Eliza Barrios and Jenifer Wofford, two-thirds of the artist collective Mail Order Brides/M.O.B., will give a Lunchtime Lecture at the San Jose Museum of Art on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 12 noon.
They will speak about M.O.B.’S work, on view in the exhibition New Stories from the Edge of Asia: This That. Barrios and Wofford, along with Reanne Estrada, work collaboratively as Mail Order Brides/M.O.B. Through photographs and video, the trio gently and humorously explores gender, race, and stereotypes of Filipinas. The lecture is free with Museum admission.
