Society of the Spectacle reading group with Ken Knabb Society of the Spectacle by Guy Debord
The first meeting of the Bay Area Public School's Society of the Spectacle reading group will be held at the Kimball Education Gallery of the de Young Museum in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The event is being hosted by Michael Wilson and Natalie Zimmerman, who are in residency with their Social Dream Lab around the theme of “Social Dreaming in the 21st Century.” Society of the Spectacle translator Ken Knabb will introduce the book, as well as Guy Debord and his oeuvre. As this will be a close reading, bring whatever version of the book you have -- or download Knabb's translation at http://www.bopsecrets.org/images/sos.pdf
