You Are Here Bowling, 2008, Ultrachrome Canvas Print, 40 x 30 inches
An exhibition of recent work by Kelly Nicolaisen Friday, NOVEMBER 21, 6 - 8:30PM On exhibit November 21 to December 19, 2008 Clean lines, warm colors and open space are accentuated by Kelly Nicolaisen's latest body of work. While the people in Nicolaisen's photos seem to play a supporting role, by skillfully weaving figures into spacious horizons, she subtly captures a sense of irony and humor. Nicolaisen, a San Francisco resident, draws on her own memories and life to lead her audience through multiple beautifully rendered scenes that remain nostalgic yet hopeful.
