Southern Exposure is proud to present Parade, our Annual Fundraiser + Art Auction on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 7:30 - 11:00 pm. The night features a Live and Silent Art Auction of work from over 150 established and emerging artists, delicious food, beverages, and creative projects. Parade is not just an auction. It's a party! It's an energetic procession of artwork, filled with exuberance, fanfare, and glitz. This famously fun event provides direct and critical support for Southern Exposure's programs and enables SoEx to continue supporting artists, presenting ambitious, groundbreaking programs, and serving as the center of visual arts activity in the Bay Area. Artists Parade will feature over 150 original works by artists such as Libby Black, Castaneda/Reiman, Taraneh Hemami, Chris Johanson, Barry McGee, Gay Outlaw, Larry Sultan, and The Thing Quarterly. Parade VIP Reception The VIP reception is an exclusive private reception for Host Level ticket holders from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. The reception gives collectors and Southern Exposure supporters the opportunity to enjoy catered food and a signature VIP-only cocktail, and place guaranteed bids on silent auction art work, all in an intimate environment without crowds. Creative Projects and Performances Parade will feature flags, flowers, floats, artist-made inflatables, and surprise performances. Listen for the sound of our trumpeter, signaling key moments in the evening's action. Get your personalized artist-made Parade sashes and wear it with a crown atop the back of a shiny convertible in our Parade Royalty photo op!
