With the vision to create innovative, inclusive, movement-based performance that is radically humanistic, David Dorfman Dance brings to life dance that generates dialogue, debate, and change. The company’s newest work, Prophets of Funk, is an electrifying performance that celebrates the Bay Area’s beloved Sly and the Family Stone, whose groundbreaking and original sound salutes the struggles and achievements of everyday people. Dress comfortably, even funkily, as you may find yourself on stage dancing by the evening’s end. At the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, CA on April 25th, 26th, and 27th at 8pm.
