Sunday, April 21, 2013 NOON until 2PM sharp! $5 - $10 sliding scale Godwaffle Noise Pancakes at The Lab Join us for an afternoon of audio question marks, mind punctuation, & experimental sounds, all leaking into transcendence with gourmet vegan pancakes! Dinosaurs with Horns Since 1983’s self-titled cassette release on The Solid Eye label, Rick Potts and Joseph Hammer have delicately dispensed laughing-gas-balloon-animals-go-pop-music as Dinosaurs With Horns. The cryptic Los Angeles Free Music Society-related group occurred in between periods of playing with Points of Friction, Le Forte Four, Steaming Coils and Solid Eye. The group works with found prerecorded cultural detritus and electronic sounds weaving a hypnogogic fever dream of audio animation. Antique instruments and current technologies are let loose to help with the mesmerizing ad hoc compositions. Like-minded artists Tom Recchion, Joe Potts, Thomas DiMuzio, Mitchell Brown, Spencer Savage and Danny Cohen have been collaborators in their improbable sonic concoctions. http://lafms.wordpress.com/ Scott Arford Scott Arford is one of the leading figures of new media arts in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has produced numerous works for sound and video including multichannel installations, live performances, CD and DVD projects, and was awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2005 Prix Ars Electronica.
