Reception April 4th 7 – 10 pm
Rowan Morrison Gallery is pleased to announce “Small Ruins”: A Show of Photographs by Hannah Henry, opening April 4th 2009.
Small Ruins is an exhibit of large-scale photographs featuring objects from the bottom of people's hearts and drawers: things with a past but no longer a purpose. The photos depict an individual object set against a blank background, highlighting the object itself, and begging of it a myriad of imaginary narratives.
Interactive Aspect: For the opening reception, Hannah Henry will be accepting object submissions for this ongoing series. If she photographs an object sent in, she will offer to dispose of it in exchange for a small print. Contact the gallery at info@rowanmorrison.com to schedule an exchange.
Hannah Henry was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1972. She holds a BA in liberal arts from Harvard and an MFA from CCAC.
