WHAT: On the first Thursday of every month this summer, the Contemporary Jewish Museum invites you to Oy Vey! Thursday. Unwind with a signature cocktail, listen to music, kvetch with friends, and see some art – all in one of San Francisco’s most stylish, new architectural wonders. On view throughout the summer is the West Coast’s only showing of Chagall and the Artists of the Russian Jewish Theater, 1919-1949.
Outside of the Museum, the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival turns Jessie Square into a downtown open-air dance party with live bands playing a different style of music each month – polka, salsa, swing, bhangra and more. The Let's Go Dance@Jessie series is free to the public and takes place from 6 – 7:30 PM first Thursdays May - Oct 2009.
