For the next two months project 7 is virtually hosting a retrospective of the ephemeral installation work of Norwegian artist Kjell Varvin. Begun in 2000, and displayed on his various online blogs, Varvin’s on-going series of “proposals” filter minimalist tropes though an improvisational jazz methodology. The works exist only for brief periods before being reworked, and persist durably only as digital photographs. Each day during this virtual show, the front-page of project 7's parent site will feature a different image from the project. Additional images and texts by Varvin are available at his project 7 project-page.
