Misho Gallery Grand Opening Black 30x45 printed on Canvas
Misho Gallery - Hyper Realism meets Abstract Art After spending 30 years on the road, either behind a drum set with a band or with a tool box as a Technical Adviser, Swiss born Michel Schorro aka Misho is finally settling down in San Francisco. During his traveling years his passion for photography had him carrying a camera at all times. He is now ready to share his view of the world and its surroundings. Misho's photographs consist of a collection of mundane, everyday objects or structures (sidewalks, walls, tree trunks, rocks etc.). Through his eyes, these everyday objects possess beauty and vibrancy that is too often overlooked. The pictures are taken with no altercation to their natural settings. Some pictures are displayed as is and some get their colors saturated to emphasize his visions. Misho created a style on his own but studying his photographs closely they could be reminiscent of the work of modern masters such as Richard Diebenkorn and Franz Kline. “My philosophy of art is pretty similar to my philosophy of life – Smile, it’s free. Life’s blessings please me and beauty is around us all the time. All it takes is to spend a little time, unleash our imaginations and really see what’s there. My ultimate goal is to stimulate awareness and to bring greater pleasure into people’s lives.“ We are happy to announce the opening of the Misho Gallery in the Sobel Building 680 8th St. second floor, San Francisco CA 94103 Over 40 of Misho's Photographs will be on display. All of them are available in Limited editions of 150 or less. Standard sizes are 12 x 18 or 20 x 30 printed on HP Premium Photographic Satin Paper with Pigment Based Vivera Archival Ink, with prices starting at $ 88.00 Some pictures are printed on Canvas up to 30 x 45 and very reasonably priced as well. Misho want his pictures to be affordable so people can take them home. With his talent and the small size of the editions we see them as an opportunity for collectors as well. The opening reception will be Saturday the 25th of July from 1pm to 4pm. RSVP is not required but would be appreciated to ensure an adequate supply of the mandatory “Wine and Cheese”
