Shades of Grey: Artists Conversation with Maria Porges
Noma Gallery presents a conversation between artist/writer Maria Porges and artists Erica Wheelock and Nate Watson. The talk will examine the similarities between Wheelock and Watson's process and the development of their work since first meeting Maria Porges during their graduate studies at California College of the Arts. Maria Porges is an artist and writer. She received a SECA award from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and has twice been artist in residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts. Her critical writing has appeared in Artforum, Art in America, Sculpture, American Ceramics, Glass, and more than 50 exhibition catalogues.
