Active Phenomena: Shinichi Iova-Koga and Chris Bell
Performance is a nebulous act, varied in the forms it takes and the locations it activates. Despite their wildly disparate media, both the works of Dancer/Choreographer Shinichi Iova-Koga and sculptor/installation artist Chris Bell are defined by the constraints of movement, sound and duration. Join us for a conversation on their work and for performances of works-in-progress by Shinichi and members of inkBOAT, who are preparing for their show at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in April.
