Nick Hurd will present some recent work made at Kala, including a series of multiple color photopolymer relief prints, primarily self-portraiture relating to genealogy and cultural identity.
Nick is a professional letterpress printer and artist in residence at Kala. He is an expert in Letterpress, photopolymer plate making. He has worked for some of the top Letterpress Printers in the Bay Area. Nicholas graduated with a BFA in Printmaking from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2004 and is currently an MFA student at the California College of the Arts.
