Norm Rosenberger, "Claire's Kitchen", 2003, oil on canvas

A group show of six painters: Randy Beckelheimer, Miranda Putnam, Mike Perkin, Norm Rosenberger, Jack Freeman and Elizabeth Johnson. Open for three evenings in the cavernous WorkSpace Gallery, 2150 Folsom St., San Francisco, on November 28th 4-10 pm, December 5th 4-10 pm and December 9th 4-9pm. Out of habit or for pleasure, these artists work 4' x 5' and much larger at a time when many artists have scaled back to save money on rent and paint and galleries wisely favor small works that are easier to sell and ship. The show encompasses a wide range of styles; abstract, realist, figurative and narrative, unified by mature paint handling skills.
