Join us for a joint presentation, a reading with Rebecca Foust and artist Lorna Stevens focused on their new project God Seed that collects poems about the environment and its seasons. At present, the book consists of 60 pages of original poems and watercolor drawings, expected to be published in 2010. Three poems from the book (printed by Richard Lang of San Francisco Electric Works) were in the Spring 2009 Art of the Book Show at the Donna Seager Gallery in San Rafael. Foust will read poems and Stevens will discuss the creation of art - both will discuss the collaborative process and will include a slide show that demonstrates the evolution of some of the images and how they were matched with the poems. Bios: Rebecca Foust is a Bay Area poet whose University press published books Dark Card (Texas Review Press 2008) and Mom's Canoe (TRP 2009) won the 2007 and 2008 Robert Phillips Poetry Chapbook Awards.
