One Land, One People is an exhibit by and about HOMEY: Homies Organizing the Mission to Empower Youth. The exhibition focuses particularly on the work of HOMEY's entrepreneurial division, Native Graphix, which specializes in the design and silkscreening of positive, culturally and socially relevant apparel. Included, too, are a new canvas mural designed and painted by youth about urban ecology, and documentation of HOMEY's work to transform the lives of youth.
Opening February 17th, 6:00-8:00PM, CIIS Main Building, 3rd Floor and Namaste Hall. Featuring dances by Danza Azteca Xitlalli, and storytelling from the Aztec and Mayan traditions with Don Pascual.
