Documentary filmmaker Jenni Olson, and writer Stephen Elliott will present their work and partake in a conversation on how artists document lived experience. “Representing Reality” will be facilitated by writer, Sarah Stone. Stephen Elliott, editor of The Rumpus.net, is the author of seven books including the true-crime memoir, The Adderall Diaries. His novel Happy Baby was voted best book of 2004 in Salon.com, Newsday, and the Village Voice. Jenni Olson is one of the world's leading experts on LGBT cinema. Her debut feature film, The Joy of Life, world premiered at Sundance and went on to play a pivotal role in the debate about the suicide barrier on the Golden Gate Bridge.
