Stillness Keira Kotler, Lime [grid]
Opening Reception: 6/4/10 6 - 9 PM Keira Kotler explores luminosity and the resonance of color through reductive paintings, photographs, prints and videos. Her primary interest is in “perception and the possibilities that occur when one attends to the present moment.” She creates nearly monochromatic paintings with subtle value shifts using pigmented urethane on acrylic panels. Her photographs, photo installations and videos portray vivid colors removed from their source imagery, creating luminous, tonally complex compositions.
