Propped Up: A Tale of No (Non)Sense laura
We are often propped up by our rational understanding of the world, an understanding that alludes to a denial of the senses. But when these props are recognized as being just as tenuous and precarious as our understanding of the world, we realize that everything is a potential mirage. Propped Up: A Tale of No (Non)Sense is an installation that confronts the viewer with spatial and sensory signifiers and a hyper-stylized reality that is just as unstable and contradictory as our own.
