Academics, technologists, and others creators and thinkers get together for a Long Conversation--one ambitious day of ideas and inquiry presented by the CJM and the Long Now Foundation. In line with the Foundation’s goal of contrasting today’s “faster/cheaper” mindset with opportunities for “slower/better” thinking, and consistent with the museum’s emphasis on “conversation,” this relay-style lecture presents randomly assigned pairs of speakers talking for 30 minutes, with one speaker then passing the microphone to someone else to continue, derail, or expand the conversation.
