Marlin Foxworth, Ph.D., and Ralph Gordon are co-authors of The Black/White Divide in America Still -- a book whose significance is even more relevant than when it was first published. In it, Dr. Foxworth and Mr. Gordon address the sad but true facts of how the U.S. still is divided along perceived racial lines, in spite of the tremendous progress that has been made. This progress notwithstanding, we today face voices and forces who would separate us even further. Plus, in the wake of the election of this country's first President of African-American descent, the myth of a post-racial society is fading. This book provides personal insights and experiences, as well as societal commentary -- which all readers should find to be relevant, motivational and inspirational. These two writers and public speakers will come to MoAD to share the sources of inspiration for their book, its basic tenets and how progressive-minded people today may use this information to help move our society positively forward -- particularly in the wake of the increasing divisiveness that is perpetuated by so many. Come, meet the authors, have your book signed and hear and be a part of an enriching dialogue!
