Dec. 3rd, Going up with Less, a new body of work by SCUBA at FM Oaland Gallery

A NEW BODY OF WORK BY SCUBA (SANDRA WANG AND CROCKETT BODELSON) CURATED BY mosshouse AT FM GALLERY OAKLAND OPENING IN CONJUNCTION WITH OAKLAND ART MURMUR SCUBA’s solo show at FM Oakland Gallery in December comes at a pivotal time in the young careers of this artist collaboration. After two plus years of working together SCUBA continues to develop a style and approach to art making that has taken them from San Francisco to Santa Fe, Berlin, Paris and elsewhere. SCUBA’s latest body of work is based on their emergence against the constraints and difficulties facing many artists, and inspired by a new outlook on their collaborative process. By exploring a new mind set, in lieu of past experience, SCUBA is literally going up with less. Drawing influence from artists such as Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Joan Miró, and process artists like Fernando Botero, as well as from the Santa Fe landscape, Russian Industrial Design, Japanese and Islamic patterns and architecture. SCUBA is creating a unique style, which draws in participation from viewers of all ages. GALLERY HOURS: SAT 1-5PM and by appointment.
