The Wonder Girls of Alexandria
Muddy’s Coffee House is pleased to present “The Wonder Girls of Alexandria,” an exhibition of collages and paper cut-outs by Molly McIntyre and Sarah Beth Goncarova. Molly’s work combines paper cut-outs, collage, drawing, and painting. This body of work revolves around themes of mapping, change and growth. Sarah Beth’s collection of whimsical collages, a creative side project from her painting and ceramic work, began as small presents created for absent friends and family members. The Correspondence Series has grown into a body of work containing more than 50 pieces. Friends since elementary school in Alexandria, Virginia, Sarah Beth and Molly are showing their work together for the first time after unexpectedly finding each other in the Bay Area. Both artists create collages that use narrative, texture and layering to craft a story within each frame.
