Alex Ray of Five Senses Projects is proud to present "Guilt & Pleasure" at Mina Dresden Gallery, a presentation of works on paper by Brooklyn based artist, Balint Zsako, in his first West Coast show. These paintings animate themes of sex, mythology, bodily functions, and primitive narratives. The narratives are expressed as open-ended stories which confront dark and complex fictions with meticulous detail.
This year Zsako’s work was showcased at Loyola University Museum of Art in Chicago in the solo show "De Humanum: The Collages of Balint Zsako", as well as Museum of Old and New’s inaugural show "MONANISM: Opening Exhibition" in Moonah, Tasmania, Australia. Outside of museums, Zsako is showing at Ontario’s University of Waterloo Art Gallery in "Works on Paper 2000-2010: Featuring Drawings from the Bernardi Collection", and at Toronto’s Katharine Mulherin Contemporary Art Projects in the group show "Bodies and Politics".
