Mike Andrews
Important Projects is excited to present an exhibition by Chicago-based artist Mike Andrews. This exhibition is an exercise in process. Here the artist presents a collection. Through an arrangement of tests, studies, and found items, this project begins to question whether its content is located in the material or the manipulation of material. Join us for the opening reception 6-9 PM Saturday, April 23rd, 2011. The exhibition continues through May 22. Mike Andrews is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department Fiber and Materials Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The artist has recently exhibited at Golden Gallery in Chicago, as well as in Seoul, South Korea; Majorca, Spain; and extensively nation-wide. The artist received his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2004.
