VISUAL ETHNOGRAPHIES: Student Works in Progress A presentation of short films documenting life and social change in the Bay Area and beyond by students from UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, and the San Francisco Art Institute. Topics range from the everyday life of an ex-convict to the pressing question of what people carry around in their pockets; from the art and artifice of “Sunday Streets” to a child’s explanation of the Tooth Fairy. Documenting the mundane and the ethereal, we examine love on a Tokyo train, roommate blues, scooter lore, and how grandma learned to Skype. Join us!
