Markers of Time: Perspectives on Climate Change and Interspecies Impact
Artist in Residence Christina Seely presents ideas around human's increasing disconnection from natural cycles and rhythms. The discussion starts with Seely’s project Lux and evolves into her new project Markers of Time, a work-in-progress that uses multiple media to explore issues around relationships to time and climate change in the arctic. Naturalists from the Park Service will join in to discuss overlapping challenges as artist and institutions toward engaging the public in complex conversations about climate change. The collaborative presentation includes (light) participation, as audience members, Seely, and the guest naturalists reflect together on our shared and individual relationships to natural cycles. The presentation ends in a ranger led walk in the Headlands.
