Royal NoneSuch Gallery is pleased to present Planetary Visions, a solo exhibition and ongoing project by Emily Dippo.
Planetary Visions is an installation revolving around an atlas that charts the contours of ecofeminisms, contemporary site-specific art and cultural production contributing to dialogues concerned with our shared planetary geographies. The collection of visual materials and texts that comprise the atlas envision how ecofeminist perspectives contribute a necessary breadth and depth to contemporary analyses of art concerned with the past, the present and the future of life on earth.
The interdisciplinary project is organized across media and in multiple formats, designed as a work-in-progress. It is offered as an emerging platform from which to engage and create with blank spots left to fill in. Pages of the atlas are designed as multiple posters for self-assembly. For the duration of the exhibition the Royal NoneSuch Gallery will function as an assembly, workshop and research center for the atlas, connecting the planetary visions of the atlas to local and global points of research, knowledge and action. Visitors to the gallery will be invited to assemble their own atlas, and contribute to the ongoing collective dialogues in the exhibition space.
