McCaig Welles and Rosenthal gallery is proud to announce the opening of our inaugural exhibition, "Russian Reduction," at our San Francisco location. Opening Celebration: Saturday September 13, 7pm to 10 pm Created and curated by the artist collective Goldmine Shithouse, "Russian Reduction," is a project of true collaboration. The works showcased in the final exhibition will be created during a two-week period in which the collective takes up residency in our Valencia Street gallery. "Russian Reduction" will reflect not only the unique interplay of artistic energies within the collective, but also engender a dialogue between aesthetic and location as the artists take inspiration from the local Mission district. Beginning September 1 the gallery will be open and spectators are welcome and encouraged to explore the process of collaborative artistic creation. The diverse and multi-faceted installation exists to create a dialogue within the space for viewers to witness, experience, and engage in.
