The Chinese Culture Center is proud to present From "From Then ‘Til Now: 46th Anniversary Auction Showcase," running from September 25 through October 15. Marking 46 years of the Chinese Culture Center’s visual arts programming, "From Then ‘Til Now" celebrates the partnerships and individuals who have made CCC the vibrant destination for arts and culture that it is today.
This reflective exhibition features paintings, vintage woodblock prints, sculpture, and photography, as well as adornments and artifacts from four decades of the Chinese Culture Center. Its years of reach contextualize the Center as a cornerstone of San Francisco’s evolving culture and Chinese community, and walks viewers through the journey from past to present. Artists include Jian Hai Zhao (aka Pop Zhao), Mo Che, Julia Nee Chu, and many others.
"From Then ‘Til Now" opens alongside the Center’s second annual Chinatown Music Festival and runs through October 15, the night of the Center’s 46th anniversary gala, Harmony and Bliss. All proceeds from the exhibition will benefit the Chinese Culture Center’s 2012 arts programs and public events.
The exhibition opening will be from 1:00pm to 7:00pm on Sunday, September 25.
