“One must conceive in order to make. Our forefathers only built their hut
after they had conceived its image. This production of the mind, this
creation is what constitutes architecture...” Étienne-Louis Boullée
Although their aesthetics are in direct conversation with one another,
these two artists explore the idea of architecture in visual ways through
different lenses. The simple act of conceiving, planning and making, around
ideas of space and form, fuel their individual practices. This exhibition
houses interactions with raw materials, perceived spaces, personal spatial
memory, architectural and formal processes and experiments.
