New Places: Four Painters’ California Tree by Bruce Klein
Four landscape painters present work that takes risks with color, form, markmaking, and subject matter. Betsy Kendall, Bruce Klein, Rebeca Garcia-Gonzalez, and Karen Zullo Sherr paint East Bay locations outdoors, from life and bring a fresh, modern approach to a traditional subject. The show is curated by Sue Steel. New Places can be seen at The Firehouse North Gallery, 1790 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley. The show runs from January 9 to January 31, 2012 and gallery hours are Thursday-Sunday, 2-7 PM. The opening reception is Friday, January 13, 7-9 PM, and will include refreshments and live entertainment. To learn more, see the East Bay Landscape Painters website: www.eblandscape.blogspot.com.
