Tapestries, Scribblings & Prints
Alan Magee's art conveys a mystical elegance blending his skill as an illustrator, painter, and printmaker, into a body of work that takes us on a spiritual journey. His imagination and passion for the human condition is in harmony with the figurative and Social Realism tradition of our Gallery. Celebrated for more than 30 years, Magee's artwork, as stated by art critic, John Canaday, is "not only astounding but an intensification of our experience of the world around us." "Magee's artwork retains his respect and wonder for the natural and man-made. There is much more to his efforts than that beauty of surface and form, honored by much of his art." -Joseph Goldyne Located in San Francisco's Union Square District, George Krevsky Gallery specializes in 20th-century American Art in the figurative tradition, including the Ashcan, Regionalist, Modernist, Social Realism, as well as Northern California contemporary artists. Established in 1992, George Krevsky Gallery is a member of the San Francisco Art Dealers Association.
