Subterranean Mountaintop Seaside (SMS), the DJ/VJ art duo, come together for their first headlining show in San Francisco to present UZERONET, an exploratory art performance combining elements of DJing (skratching, mixing, cutting) with audio-reactive visuals. This event will also function as an art show with both analog and digital pieces on display. UZERONET focuses on interactions between the systems that exist within the organic and inorganic. The artists utilize their respective crafts to carve a unique niche for themselves, forcing the digital to function as a reflector of the analog. How can sound dictate structural form? How can a natural pattern be turned into a digital system? How can we build worlds from the basic elements, deconstruction and reinterpreting existing media in order to produce new, more efficient, sustainable patterns of thought? UZERONET will be followed by an after party in the CELLspace concert venue, hosting a number of DJs.
