Feb 25th 1pm-4pm Chance James was voted Best Artist and best Photographer in Fresno by, Fresno Magazine in 2010. His first Solo Show in San Francisco is named "into the darkness" and will features numerous of his larger paintings. Artist Statement: My work is about what's inside of me and the process of understanding it. I treat the process as important as the final product. This allows me to create something truly honest. I really want to take an authentic look at myself and challenge the viewer to do the same. My most recent works focus on the idea of renewal, both in ourselves and in the world around us. My paintings are based on scenes and places that I see playing in my mind and I express them abstractly. They are a culmination of all my thoughts, conscious or otherwise that make up who I am.
