Rick Lombardo, artistic director of San Jose Repertory Theatre, will give the Lunchtime Lecture at the San Jose Museum of Art on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at noon. His talk, entitled “Staging Carnage,” will focus on his experiences staging Yasmine Reza’s play God of Carnage. He will discuss his experiences working with actors to stage the dark comedy in a way that balances humor with genuine horror. The talk is offered in connection with the Museum’s exhibition Renegade Humor (on view through July 8) and San Jose Rep’s production of God of Carnage (March 22-April 15, 2012). The lecture is free with Museum admission. The San Jose Museum of Art is located at 110 South Market Street in downtown San Jose, California. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens, and free to members and children under 6.
