The Garage Sale Project is pleased to present Nicolas Torres’s new video installation, WORK HARD DREAM NONE. In February of 2012 Torres spent several days filming the citizens of “The City That Never Sleeps” catching up on the Zzzzzz’s they desperately need. Amongst the constant bombardment of clanking metal sounds, odd smells, maximum occupancy, and anti-terror advisories, the NYC subway is a cradle to it’s sleep deprived citizenry. Thematically, this piece is in keeping with much of Torres work which focuses on the daily struggles of the overworked lower to middle class urbanite.
Closing party will be Tuesday, June 12th, 6-9 pm
