High Noon SwordPost an Event »

Don Soker Contemporary Art is pleased to announce High Noon Sword, an exhibition of recent large scale unique aquatint etchings by San Francisco artist Jesse Gottesman from October 6 – November 12. The opening reception is Saturday, October 6, 4-6 pm. The titles of the works in this show come from the names of forms of Chinese gun fu. In aquatint etchings, images are made by washing hydrochloric acid (Dutch mordant) against a copper plate. The image is printed on paper using hand mixed inks made from raw pigments. The size of these unique etchings is unusual and required the production of special equipment.. Jesse Gottesman received his MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2006. This is his second exhibition with the gallery.
