Join us for a mock curator talk by Kathy Aoki on Thursday, November 8 at 7PM in conjunction with Aoki’s ersatz museum project “Beauty in Landscape; A Blockbuster Exhibition from the Permanent Collection of the Museum of Historical Makeovers”. Taking on the reprise role as curator and armed with a laser pointer, Aoki will explicate the connection between crop circles and toenail polish, make evident what happens to Disney princesses once grown up, hypothesize a relationship between Cezanne and mascarra, investigate Hello Kitty portraits carved in stone, and publicly display recently discovered votive mummy offered to pop divas. Aoki will be available to further discuss the work following the lecture.
