The News: Fresh, Queer Performance with a "Sweetheart Dance" theme for February! SOMArts presents the one year anniversary of The News, a monthly offering of new and experimental performance works. The News spotlights queer experiments, debut works, and works-in-progress by pre-selected solo artists, groups and troupes. In February, Peter Max Lawrence joins high-school sweetheart Kolmel WithLove to host an evening featuring performances by ten Bay Area artists, a breakable heart-shaped art installation, and an opportunity to slow dance with your fellow audience members.
