Creativity Explored’s Annual Benefit Holiday Sale
BENEFIT HOLIDAY SALE EVENT CREATIVITY EXPLORED'S ANNUAL HOLIDAY ART SALE December 5 -30, 2008 Feel like there's no way you can afford great, one-of-a-kind gifts for your loved ones AND support your favorite local non profit this holiday season? Think again! There's one sure way to beat the 401K Blues. Creativity Explored's Annual Holiday Art Sale offers savvy shoppers the best way to wow friends and family with fiercely original presents and feel good about dollars spent this December. Creativity Explored is San Francisco's premier gallery of work by artists with developmental disabilities and has repeatedly been voted Best Art Gallery by readers of the San Francisco Bay Guardian. There's a reason for that distinction. Some of the more than 120 studio artists have a resume that would make any undiscovered Basquiat green with envy. Their work has been called "some of the most imaginative, original and sophisticated art in San Francisco." Its annual holiday sale event is THE time to browse thousands of unique choices for gifts suited to any budget. Shelves are packed with whimsical ceramic masks, tiles and sculptures. Tables are heaped with handmade pillows, artist designed t-shirts and note cards. And the walls are covered from floor to ceiling with paintings of everything from wild-eyed critters to birthday cakes on fire. Half of the proceeds from the sale of the work go directly to the studio artists. So, make Creativity Explored your one stop shop for gift purchases this year. Who knows? You just may end up liking the holidays again.
