Minji Sohn lays systems upon chaos while performing within aestheticized scenarios. Her performance is based on endurance and repetition, and is formed from memories of her youth--filling buckets with unending sand, counting through a sea of books, and repeatedly checking for imaginary dangers in corners, under the bed, and behind the curtains.
ASG presents this exhibition of childhood memories, fears, and experiences, each performed with beautifully-crafted futility leading to repetition, repetition, more repetition, and occasionally magic.
