The American Craft Council San Francisco Show draws thousands of fine craft collectors from across the Bay Area who find great joy in learning the master makers’ creative processes, developing relationships with the artists and learning the stories behind each handcrafted piece. This year’s show will once again showcase a stunning range of California-based and local San Francisco artisans. This year’s Make Room: Modern Design Meets Craft showcase is heading in a different direction--four to be exact! The “4 Directions” theme explores how geography and climate effect and influence design. The showcase challenges designers and design teams to create room vignettes inspired by select objects of fine craft that demonstrate the essence of style in the North, South, East, and West. Through each vignette, designers and design teams will have the opportunity to explore and express the culture and design aesthetic of a particular region.
