Satyajit Ray (1921-1992) was an Indian filmmaker and one of the true masters of world cinema, known for his deeply humanistic approach. He made his films in Bengali, a language spoken in West Bengal, the eastern state of India, and Bangladesh. His work has had an indelible impact on generations of filmmakers and audiences around the world. We present three of Ray's masterpieces, the beloved, exquisite Apu Trilogy.
Please note that the films are complete stories, and can be seen individually. Viewing the entire trilogy will provide a deep and rewarding experience for those who are able to do so.
