Attractive Simulations at Slate Gallery in OaklandPost an Event »

Opening Reception: October 11, 6 - 8 PM

Exhibition Dates: October 8 - 12, 2013

SLATE Contemporary presents Attractive Simulations, a week-long show exhibiting the work of eight emerging California College of the Arts students varying in medium from Painting and Jewelry to Performance Art.

The young artists belong to a career development class taught by local adjunct professor and artist, Michele Pred. The course teaches students about the basic construction of the industry that is Art, along with the fine details most overlook. The exhibition will serve not only as the first show in a commercial gallery for many of the young artists, but also, as a real world application of what the students have learned throughout the course.
