These images explore people and places of California and ask the viewer to pause and notice what might otherwise go unseen as one walks past: to see the beauty in the mundane; the humor in the ordinary; the contrast of nature against the man-made. They are the scenery we all know or wish we could visit, the people we have all seen, and not seen, who might even be us. It is an opportunity for local residents to venture into possibly unfamiliar territory or to reconnect with what is outside their own front doors. The public is invited to a reception for the artists on Saturday, September 19th, from 3:30-5:30pm.
