Join us in our celebration of Indian art and culture. Kick off the day with a Kids’ Tour of the galleries. At 1 pm, enjoy a special performance by Lavanya and Subbalaxmi, aka the Saxophone Sisters. They began their musical journey at the age of six with vocal and violin training. Today they are the only accomplished women saxophonists in India, with a repertoire that ranges from Carnatic music to Hindustani, fusion to jazz. Round out your afternoon at the museum with a Youth Flashmob bhanngra dance, art activities and henna tattooing.
