In Continent: Dark Sound Blue, Xaviera Simmons presents a multi-layered film and multilingual sound-based work, a literal buildup of a landscape of desire is constructed through sound, movement, breath work, language, scent, and taste. This performance mines and abstracts gestures found in postmodern dance imagery, Jamaican Dance-hall movements, and homoerotic gestures found in historical queer and straight photography. No late entry. 21+
