Reception

November 12, 2016 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

In his new exhibition, "Paper Dolls", Fernando Reyes takes us on a colorful visual journey of the human form through hand printed paper cut outs combined with oil paint on wood. Reyes feels that the nonverbal language of the nude or figure speaks with great eloquence, and that the flavor of interaction between artist and model is seen in that language, whether it be humorous, spirited, euphoric, or otherwise. For a figurative artist, drawing from the human form is a fundamental practice, and capturing the nuance of existence is a fundamental draw.
