Zener Schon Contemporary Art, Mill Valley, presents From Each to West: A Bi-Coastal Dialogue, an exhibition guest curated by Mateo Mize, featuring eight internationally acclaimed mixed media artists with deep roots individually and collectively in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. The exhibition runs from March 31st to May 17th, 2015. A reception for the artists will take place on Saturday, April 4th from 6-8pm.
Participating New York based artists Miky Fabrega, Peter Gronquist, Ted Lawson, Chad Muska, Alison Mosshart, Shelter Serra, Ivory Serra and Jamie Martinez deliver an exhibition that addresses the contemporary human experience of “The Survival of the Fittest”. They do so by referencing a set of symbols that we depend on to define our roles as humans within American culture. They also shine a light on how technology, both old and new, is constantly effecting how we position ourselves and thus, how art is perceived.
Founded by gallery owners Julie Zener and Tara Schon, Zener Schon Contemporary Art is located in Mill Valley, CA, featuring the cutting-edge artwork of emerging and established artists from the east and west coasts. Please visit www.zenerschongallery.com for more information.
